The Tigercats grabbed a win, 4-2, at Vail Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from London pitcher Javier Alba. Alba went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Vince Rice closed the door for Vail, picking up his 9th save of the year. Vail, now 16-10, has played well in the early going.

The Tigercats got a big at-bat from first baseman Ian McKibbins. For the game, McKibbins was 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Vail a 2-0 lead.

After the game, Vail manager Mike Alexander applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
