The St. Louis Cavalry stopped the Hamilton Bulldogs, 4-2, behind an impressive performance from Chad Cromwell. The 24-year old first baseman made life miserable for Hamilton pitching. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Despite the win, St. Louis, now 5-19, is off to a terrible start.
St. Louis took a 4-2 lead on Cromwell's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Scott Harvey in the top of the eighth, propelled St. Louis to the win.
Said losing manager Emmanuel Montano: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
