The Hialeah Firecats eked out a 1-0 win versus the Hamilton Bulldogs at Firecats Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Joel Edmondson. He was terrific. Fernando Salas, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The Firecats, with just their 8th win so far in 2022, have yet to catch fire.

Hialeah got a game-changing hit from Roland Sweeney. The pinch hitter blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.
