Capitols Get Past Cornwall for 6-5 Win
Cornwall right fielder Leo Cortez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Royals dropped a 6-5 decision to Augusta at The Capitol Dome. Cortez went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Augusta pitcher Matt Schmidt earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Myles Winston suffered the loss. Cornwall drops to 11-10.

In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Cornwall allowed the Capitols to go up, 6-5, on a Cornwall error.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Wunderlich told the Augusta Gazette.
