The Vail Tigercats had no problem beating the Miami Boll Weevils, 12-1, at Ballpark of Miami. Paul Dankenbring, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in RBI with 15, led the onslaught. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Vail. Robert Hendricks picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-2. Vail has a record of 11-10.

Vail got a lift in the top of the third from center fielder Ken Hippler, who hit a splitter to center for a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season put the Tigercats up, 3-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Miami manager Bill Murtha. "They smoked us."
