Scorpions Earn 5-3 Home Win
|
The Sonoma Scorpions picked up a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, knocking off the St. Louis Cavalry, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jose Ceballos was a big reason why. In 7 innings, Ceballos surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Donovan March collected save number 4.
With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Keith DiPiazza barreled up a fastball from Eddie Robinson. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Scorpions in front, 5-0.
DiPiazza said his team "played with determination."
With the win, Sonoma elevates its record to 11-11.
