Tigercats Need Extra Frames to Get Past Tigers
Vail center fielder Ken Hippler had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the London Tigers, 7-4. Dan Herbert earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Vail now has a record of 12-11.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 16th. With one out, Hippler hit a fastball from Mitch Jones for a 3-run home run. The Tigercats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Hippler. "But we got it done."
