Tigers Come Up Short at Vail, 3-2
Mario Santos could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his London Tigers lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Vail Tigercats at Vail Grounds. Juan Sauceda snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 1-0 on the season. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Vinny Ceja.

Vail catcher Josh Williams contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a screwball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Tigercats ahead, 3-2.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Williams.

The win gives Vail a record of 12-9.
