The Sonoma Scorpions weathered a fine game by London center fielder Alex Mendoza to upend the Tigers, 7-6, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Mendoza went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sonoma reliever Kasey Acree picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Paul Kreger absorbed the loss.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Omar Perez in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a solo home run off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Kreger to win it for Sonoma and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Perez said, postgame.

With the loss, London is 13-7.
