The Augusta Capitols knocked off the Hamilton Bulldogs, 4-3, in Western AA action at Mariachis Ballpark. Augusta pitcher and Jersey City, New Jersey, native Mike Reich had an outstanding performance. The winner was Reich. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Ryan Middaugh. The win leaves Augusta with a record of 10-9.

Chris Wunderlich had a direct impact on the outcome. Wunderlich contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Augusta up, 4-2.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Wunderlich said in reaction to the win.
