Scorpions Make It 5 Straight with 3-0 Win
|
The Vermont Milkmen and Sonoma Scorpions left the fans buzzing.
In a low-scoring game between the Sonoma Scorpions and the Vermont Milkmen, pitcher Micah Cole was the difference-maker. The Sonoma right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-0 Scorpions win. Sonoma is flying high at 15-5.
In the top of the seventh, Tim Lotz stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Milkmen were trailing 3-0, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Gil Martinez made a terrific pitch and Lotz struck out. Gone was the dream of a Vermont comeback.
