Capitols Improve to 9-7 with 3-2 Win
Augusta turned a good effort from starter Bernie Rios into a win over the St. Louis Cavalry at The Capitol Dome. The Capitols won the game, 3-2. Chris Radke finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Cavalry fall to 7-9 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.

Kevin Mortensen, who is tied for 9th in the W-AA in home runs with 3, took St. Louis hurler Jonathan Johnson deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Capitols on top, 3-2. In all, Mortensen had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

Mortensen attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
