The Sonoma Scorpions racked up a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, bumping off the Hamilton Bulldogs, 6-4. Mike Martinez, who started for Sonoma, pitched effectively for his team. Donovan March came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Hamilton now is 7-8.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Scorpions right fielder Dave Pimenta hit a cutter from T.J. Huckaby for a 2-run single. Just like that, Sonoma was up, 3-2.
