The Stockton Ragin Cajuns got a superb performance from pitcher Rick Collins, but the Augusta Capitols still won the game, 3-2. Collins threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Santana in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Enrique Perez took the loss. With the win, Augusta elevates its record to 8-7.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Augusta. That's when Martin Vargas hit a run-scoring double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Enrique Perez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Vargas.
