Hurt Jacks Two Home Runs in 13-5 Augusta Win
Benefiting from Ben Hurt's productive game, the Augusta Capitols downed the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 13-5. Hurt went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Capitols. Nick Carrier earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. Now 4-12, the Bombardiers have gotten off to a poor start.

In the bottom of the second, Victor Garcia delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Augusta second baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Capitols in front, 13-5.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Garcia.
