Danny Vollmer imposed his will on the Capitols from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 6-1 Cincinnati triumph. The Bombardiers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 15 games.

The Bombardiers benefited from an error in the top of the third inning. Cincinnati was leading 2-0 when Juan Guerra hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Cincinnati in front, 4-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Vollmer said.
