Scorpions Solve Royals, 6-3
|
Sonoma parlayed a decent outing from starter Ken Springer into a solid win over the Cornwall Royals. The final score was 6-3. The Royals, now 4-11, continue their inauspicious start.
Juan Posadas had a big 2-run double for the Scorpions in the top of the sixth inning. With Sonoma leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Lee Fidler and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Scorpions ahead, 5-1.
Posadas called the win "a collective effort."
