Miami used a superb performance from starting pitcher Ferhat Chiwocha to down the Cornwall Royals, 6-1. Cornwall, with the loss, is still a robust 9-4.
Miami first baseman Jimmy Kimmel made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. In the contest, Kimmel went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
Said losing manager Jon Williams: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
