Cornwall pitcher Mike Revell did his part in helping his team defeat the Miami Boll Weevils, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Revell. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Shunso Tabata. Kelly Powell locked down his 3rd save.
Cornwall used the hitting of Ross Myer to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royals on top, 4-0. For the game, Myer had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Mike did a good job of managing their lineup," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams.
The win gives Cornwall a record of 9-3.
