Bombardiers Get Clonked by Milkmen, 7-1
Soggy conditions did not keep Vermont and Cincinnati from playing their scheduled game.

Thanks in large part to shortstop Evan Stowe, the Vermont Milkmen beat the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 7-1. Stowe was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vermont, now 4-9, is off to a slow start.

The Milkmen got a big at-bat from first baseman Tim Lotz. For the game, Lotz went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Vermont a 2-1 lead.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Milkmen manager Mike Barriga, "I like our chances."
