The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles cruised to a win over the San Diego Fleet, 15-4, at Leatherback Park. Alex Natera led the way, going 3-for-4 for Daytona Beach. Daytona Beach is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 10th win in 28 games.

Matt Schmid, the Daytona Beach shortstop, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 2-0, Sea Turtles. For the game, Schmid was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Schmid told a Daytona Beach Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
