Hialeah Firecats starter Casey Higgins pitched a strong game against the Cornwall Royals at King George Park, leading the Firecats to victory, 5-3. Rich Zavala earned the save for Hialeah, his 1st of the year. The win lifts Hialeah to a record of 2-6.

Hialeah used a well-timed hit by Travis Eastlack to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Firecats ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We took home the win," said Eastlack. "What's not to like?"
