Taylor Slugs Trash Pandas to 10-1 Win
|
At The Hideout, the Chicago Gangsters and Toronto Trash Pandas were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Toronto Trash Pandas pinned a convincing loss on the Chicago Gangsters, 10-1, at The Hideout. Jaylen Taylor was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Toronto. Winston Caballero picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-2 on the season. He struck out 10 and walked 2 in 6.2 innings, while yielding no runs.
Jon Kenyon hit a bases-clearing double off Bobby Nowlin in the top of the first, which put the Trash Pandas in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Kenyon had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
Toronto manager Walt DeRosier commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
The Gangsters, at 9-19, have stumbled out of the gate.
