Cincinnati Defeated by Cornwall, 6-1
|
Cincinnati had no answer for 25-year old right-handed pitcher Rob Stech. The Cornwall Royals starter stymied Bombardiers hitters, helping the Royals cruise to victory, 6-1. Cornwall is off to a hot start at 4-2.
Cornwall used the hitting of Nate Pratt to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Royals on top, 2-0. For the game, Pratt had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I thought Rob threw the ball well across the board," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams.
