Froerer Deals Indianapolis 3-0 Setback
|
Syracuse used a superb performance from starting pitcher John Froerer to down the Indianapolis Eagles, 3-0. Ken Allbaugh picked up the save for Syracuse, his 8th of the year. The win puts Syracuse at 16-12.
Froerer, who dominated for Syracuse, earned the victory to move to 5-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 10. Indianapolis batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"John was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Syracuse manager Josh Gifford.
