Boll Weevils Turn Away Ragin Cajuns, 4-2
|
Miami turned a good performance from starting pitcher Gerardo Matute into a 4-2 triumph over the Stockton Ragin Cajuns at Ballpark of Miami. Brent Kuest earned the save for Miami, his 1st of the year. The loss lowers the Stockton record to 2-5.
Jeremy Beck dealt the Ragin Cajuns a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Miami leading 2-0, Beck hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Matute.
