Scorpions Need Extra Frames to Get Past Capitols
The Sonoma Scorpions faced a tough opponent in Augusta pitcher Bill Frazer, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Capitol Dome by a final score of 4-1 in 10 innings. Frazer went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The win went to Jonathan Harvey in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Tim Kondas took the loss. Augusta, with the loss, is still a hardy 5-2.

Sonoma needed the clutch hitting of Mike Gallant to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-1. For the game, Gallant had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Augusta manager Chris Clarke.
