Sonoma got a terrific game from second baseman Keith Connelly. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to St. Louis, 4-3. Connelly went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. St. Louis pitcher Zhi-gang Loong earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. Mike Martinez suffered the loss. Sonoma, with the loss, is still a robust 3-1.

St. Louis took a 4-3 lead on Sergio Yanez's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Yanez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sonoma pitcher Mike Martinez visibly frustrated.

In postgame remarks, Yanez applauded his team's "toughness."
