Bombardiers Get Clutch 3-1 Win
|
In a close contest featuring the Cincinnati Bombardiers and the Vail Tigercats, pitcher Mike Pinion was in the zone. The Cincinnati right-hander helped his team prevail, 3-1, in 13 innings. Aiden Sealy earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Cincinnati sits at 1-1 in the early going.
Cincinnati got a game-changing hit from Leo Mendez. The first baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Pinion said.
