Scorpions Grind Out 2-1 Win
Crowds lined up early in front of Ballpark of North Richland Hills, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2022 ABA Double A season. On the mound was Alex Gomez for the visiting Vermont Milkmen and Brian Hayden for the hometown Sonoma Scorpions. In a spirited contest, the Scorpions pulled out the win, defeating the Milkmen by the score of 2-1. Especially impressive was Alex Gomez. Shissho Matsuno earned the save for Sonoma, his 1st.

Sonoma took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cameron Williams hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Scorpions.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Williams.
