Bulldogs Pull Out Late-Game Win, 13-12
The Hamilton Bulldogs began the 2025 season with a convincing 13-12 win over the Sonoma Scorpions at Mariachis Ballpark. Most impressive was Hamilton left fielder Danny Walker, who went 3-6 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Carlos Tellez, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 22-year old catcher Paul Gaither had a real shot to win the game. Sonoma pitcher Donovan March was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Gaither hit a run-scoring single. The Bulldogs had a walk-off triumph.

"This place was rocking at the end," Gaither said.
