Hialeah Rallies to 4-2 Win
|
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the London Tigers were eager to watch George Robertson square off against Danny Reyna of the visiting Hialeah Firecats. In the end, the Firecats won the game, 4-2, with Danny Reyna leading the way. Leo Fonseca, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Justin Stewart was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Hialeah needed the clutch hitting of Aharon Kroyan to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Firecats on top, 4-2. For the game, Kroyan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Danny doing his thing just hyped us all up," said Hialeah manager John Costa.
