Tight Tilt Goes to Cavalry, 4-3
|
Though he had a terrific game, Tim Kidd could not prevent his team, the Miami Boll Weevils, from absorbing a loss. St. Louis won the game, 4-3. Kidd went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Miami now has a record of 0-3.
Contributing to the St. Louis cause was Dale Hendrix. In the bottom of the fourth, the 24-year old catcher had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-0, the Cavalry in front.
Hendrix attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
