The Maine Pines faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Nick Dragon, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Whislters Park by a final score of 8-3. Dragon went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Maine is off to a hot start at 2-1.

Maine used a well-timed hit by Jason Moore to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Pines ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
