Ragin Cajuns Take Down Capitols, 3-2
Crowds lined up early in front of Ballpark of Stockton, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2026 ABA Double A season. On the mound was Nick Carrier for the visiting Augusta Capitols and Matt Hanna for the hometown Stockton Ragin Cajuns. In a spirited contest, the Ragin Cajuns pulled out the win, defeating the Capitols by the score of 3-2. Especially impressive was Nick Carrier. The win went to Freddy Arellanos in relief, making him now 1-0. Matt Schmidt took the loss for Augusta.

Chris Swain was the walk-off hero for Stockton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ragin Cajuns second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
