Milkmen Fall Short, 3-2, at Vail
Crowds lined up early in front of Vail Grounds, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025 ABA Double A season. On the mound was Ricky Garay for the visiting Vermont Milkmen and Jesus Howell for the hometown Vail Tigercats. In a spirited contest, the Tigercats pulled out the win, defeating the Milkmen by the score of 3-2. Especially impressive was Jesus Howell. Vince Rice collected his 1st save.

The Tigercats got a big hit from third baseman Jay Anagnost. In the bottom of the sixth, Anagnost smacked a 2-run double off Vermont pitcher Ricky Garay. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the Tigercats were ahead, 3-2.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Vail manager Mike Alexander.
