The Hollywood Stars picked up a win at Ballpark of Charleston, knocking off the Charleston Shiners, 8-4. Starting pitcher Chris Benson was a big reason why. Benson picked up the win for Hollywood, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The Stars raised their record to 15-13.

Hollywood used a well-timed hit by Steve Parson to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Benson told the Hollywood Times.
