Mountaineers Take Nail-Biter Over Millionaires
The Winchester Mountaineers dealt the Alcoa Millionaires a 4-2 loss at Mountaineers Park. Harry Williams was the star on offense. He went 3 for 6 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Winchester, now 112-26, has stretched its winning streak to 13 games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 16th. With no one out, Williams hit a changeup from Jim Burns for a 2-run home run. The Mountaineers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was terrific getting this win," Williams said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
