Though he had a stellar game, Bryan Bejarano could not prevent his team, the Boise Dread Kings, from losing, 6-5, to the Corpus Christi Mermen. Bejarano was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. The win gives Corpus Christi a season record of 78-61.

Gus Duran provided a timely hit. The Corpus Christi pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mermen on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Duran.
