Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Washington Wildthings take on the Mesa Razor Sharks.

The performance of Craig Williams proved critical in helping Mesa beat Washington, 10-7. The Razor Sharks designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Victor Benavidez earned the save, his 27th in 33 tries.

Mesa used the hitting of Adam Persons to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Razor Sharks on top, 5-2. For the game, Persons had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
