Bears Lose By a Run at Boise
|
The Boise Dread Kings racked up a win at Ballpark of Boise, bumping off the Traverse City Bears, 4-3. Adam Matthews, who started for Boise, pitched effectively for his team. The save went to Mike Trivett, number 16 for him. The Dread Kings now have a mark of 81-57.
Omari Baker drove in one run for Boise. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Baker had a clutch at-bat. Facing Traverse City hurler Kevin Gibbons, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Dread Kings a 4-3 lead.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Matthews.
