Polecats Take Home 4-1 Win Over Encinitas
The Libertyville Polecats got a stellar effort from pitcher Mike Kendra, helping Libertyville score a win over the visiting Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, 4-1. The winner was Kendra. He threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Preston Todd. The win elevated the Polecats to 70-66.

Libertyville got a lift in the bottom of the second from center fielder Matt Harper, who hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Polecats up, 3-0.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Libertyville skipper Justin Thiede.
