Millionaires Suffer 6-3 Road Loss
|
The Boise Dread Kings stopped the Alcoa Millionaires, 6-3, at Ballpark of Boise. The Dread Kings got a big game from Roger Fana, who was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Mike Trivett was credited with the save for Boise, his 15th of the season. Boise is now 80-57, Alcoa 43-94.
Ricky Colon had a big bases-clearing double for the Dread Kings in the bottom of the second inning. With Boise leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Omar Vega and swatted a double to center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dread Kings ahead, 4-0.
Boise manager Sean Drummond said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
