Winchester pitcher Angelo Quezada did his part in helping his team beat the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Their 99-37 record puts the Mountaineers first in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Winchester used the clutch hitting of John Hall to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mountaineers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

Hall attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
