Dread Kings Lose Big to Rotters, 10-2
|
The Riverside Rotters powered past the Boise Dread Kings, 10-2, at Rotters Ballpark. Matt Gilfillan went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 4, to lead the charge. Their 92-43 record puts the Rotters second in the Eastern AA Northern Division.
Riverside catcher Chris Terry contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 91st hit of the season and put the Rotters ahead, 5-2.
"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Terry.
