Riverside Rotters pitcher Carl Bennett was in fine form, leading his team past the Rohnert Park Cougars, 2-1. Riverside is now 81-56, Rohnert Park 62-75.
Mark David, who is tied for 9th in the E-AA with a .375 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. David contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Riverside up, 2-1.
"Carl was dictating to their hitters," said Riverside manager Adrian Mercado.
