Riverside turned a good effort from starter Ryan Butler into a win over the Rohnert Park Cougars at Ballpark of Greenup. The Rotters won the game, 4-2. Josh Carlson picked up his 8th save of the season. The second-place Rotters improved to 80-56.

Riverside won the game in part because of David Moore. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rotters ahead, 2-0. For the game, Moore had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Riverside manager Adrian Mercado applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
