Another day, another victory for the red-hot Winchester Mountaineers.

The Winchester Mountaineers handed the Boise Dread Kings a 6-2 defeat at Ballpark of Boise. Right Fielder Oscar de Leon starred for Winchester. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Rich Wilkinson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jason Hoover came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Boise pitcher Vince Mellon, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Winchester on top, 3-2.

"The vibe's good," said Winchester manager Mitchell Young. "We've got to keep it going."
