Chiefs Rally to Nose Past Mesa
The Mescalero Chiefs topped the Mesa Razor Sharks, 3-2, in Eastern AA action at Chiefs Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mescalero pitcher Luis Mora. Mescalero reliever Scott Clary got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Nate Peercy was tagged with the loss. With the win, Mescalero upped its record to 71-61.

Justin Jirkovsky was the walk-off hero for Mescalero. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Chiefs third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Mora said.
