Cougars Squelch Rotters Offense in Shutout Win
Rohnert Park took on Riverside in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Joe Russell, in particular, was fantastic. The Rohnert Park right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-0. Gabe Sprung earned the save, his 11th, for the Cougars. Rohnert Park currently is in 5th place in the Eastern AA Southen Division at 65-69.

David Byerly, the 17th overall pick in the 2020 draft, helped out the Rohnert Park cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Byerly said after the game.
