Riverside pitcher Mark Herrera did his part in helping his team defeat the Rohnert Park Cougars, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Pete Mead recorded the save, making him 7 for 11. Riverside has now won 4 straight.

Riverside used a well-timed hit by Bob Ontiveros to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rotters ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
