Tillery Excels in 5-0 Encinitas Win
Due in large part to catcher Dan Tillery, the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers sunk the Winchester Mountaineers, 5-0. Tillery belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Perry Norman, the winner, improved to 8-3. He held Winchester to no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Eskimo Brothers saw their win-loss record go to 93-41. At the same time, the Mountaineers fell to 94-40.

With Encinitas leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Tillery batted against Winchester pitcher Jake Simmons. Tillery hit a fastball to center for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Eskimo Brothers on top, 4-0.

Encinitas manager Logan Greening commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
